ILCA Rudder Blade

This is the ILCA rudder blade that is an integral part of the boat. It facilitates steering combined with the tiller, tiller extension and rudder head. These rudder blades are made from polyester resin which makes them stronger, lighter, less susceptible to scratches and gives them a smoother finish.

The latest design in the ILCA rudder blade features an epoxy trailing edge, which provides increased strength in the area most suceptible to damage. Trying to repair your ILCA foils is always a pain, and the much stronger epoxy will prevent you from doing this regularly.
